On a nice sunny Sunday morning what better to do than to head out to a car boot. I love a good old car boot and i love searching for a bargain.
Yesterday i went with the intention to see what clothes I could find for my holiday coming up soon, I didn't find as much as i wanted. I have been to car boots before and come back with a whole new wardrobe of clothes.
However, me, my boyfriend and my daughter went on a search for some bargains at the car boot.
This car boot is Arminghall car boot, about 40 mins drive for us to get there, as it is the start of 'car boot season' i did find that it wasn't as big as it was when i was there last summer.
However, i did manage to buy 5 dresses for my holiday and i thought i would share with you all here ...
I love this dress above, its very light material and i love the colour olive it has always suited my skin tone. I picked up this dress for £2 and the label says originally from New Look, it was in brilliant condition and i can't wait to wear this throughout the summer.
This stripey one i think is quite cute. Its navy with red and white thin stripes, I've never really been a girl to wear stripes but i thought i would give it ago, again this was a bargain £3 new with tags, it was from a shop i didn't recognise most likely a boutique shop.
Aww this one, i feel really girly in. A love a white dress on a summers day this has little red daisies/flowers on it. I like the way it is boxy at the top of the dress and the bottom then flares out. Its comfortable to wear and very light weight , another £3 bargain!
This dress is originally a Primark dress but i love it, bought it from a car boot stall for £1 i think its my favourite one of the lot. Its not too long and not too short, plus i prefer to keep my shoulders covered and this had sleeves. Its a nice fit, tightly fitted at the top and floaty at the bottom. I reckon this will be my everyday summer dress near enough!
Now this red dress again i love however it was a little bit too short for me which i was devastated about when tried it on as it is so pretty. It is a forever 21 dress and i got it for £2 at the car boot. As it is short i will most likely end up wearing it as a long top with leggings or maybe with some white jeans, we shall see. I am still going to wear it as i do love it.
As i said before this hasn't been my best car boot haul as i felt there wasn't many clothes for sale at the car boot yesterday. However, i hope to go to a few more local car boots and see what bargains i can find and blog about them, after all its all great fun and i love a car boot!
Tips for a car booter:
1) Get there early.
2) Never pay the asking price always negotiate.
3) Always always have a good rummage the best things are always buried or hidden.
4) Never underestimate a car boot!
I also bought some other bits from the car boot also but i didn't think you would want me to blog on Troll figurines and barbie books for my daughter, thought my clothes would be of more interest!
Overall, it was a lovely family day out, with the sun shining and finished the afternoon off sunbathing in the garden, what more could you want.
I hope you have enjoyed reading my blog, until next time, bye for now,
FOREVER GiGi .xo.xo.
